Fahriye Oya Kuyumcu, born in 1969 in Ankara, graduated from Middle East Technical University Department of Architecture in 1990. She completed her master's degree in building Science in the same Department of the same university. In 1992, she was awarded with a museum proposal project for the ancient city of side in the Department of graphic presentation at the national architecture Exhibition, and she worked on artistic production for architecture as well as architectural works.
She opened a gallery in Ankara called FOYART and exhibited her works on Contemporary Arts. The artist, who works in art by bringing together many art branches such as miniature, tile, mosaic, calligraphy and architecture together with the illuminated manuscript courses which she started in the workshop of Memnune Birkan, teaches courses in design studios of various universities, especially at Çankaya University. Mrs. Kuyumcu continues to work on architectural and artistic works in her own workshop and continues to work on the geometric patterns of the Seljuks period.
