Born in Istanbul, Figen Tekiner received the illuminated manuscript gratification by completing the illuminated manuscript lessons of Emel Turkmen from 2000. In 2008, she started her classes on miniature and Flower painter of Orhan Dağlı.
In 2006 and 2007, she was awarded the third prize in the competitions organized by İSMEK and the first prize in the competition held by İSMEK again in 2008. In 2008, she won the fifth prize in Halkar branch Al-Burda.
In 2016, she graduated from Istanbul University Faculty , Department of Art History, ,which she made studies on Fatih Mehmet Aga Islamic-Ottoman social complex, with her study of comparative features, settlement Plan, architectural and features. In the same year, Fatih, Kazasker Ivaz Efendi Mosque, within the scope of restoration of the mosque Dome, Dome pulley, adorns and other interior were prepared in accordance with its original. The patterns from these works were applied in the restoration of the mosque.
In 2017, she started taking paper conservation and restoration courses from Saadet Gazi and participated in many mixed exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad. Apart from this, Mrs. Tekiner exhibited in the collections of some of the competitions in which she participated and she continues her art studies in her workshop in Istanbul and teaches illuminated manuscript lessons.
