Topkapı Palace

The palace, which was built in 1478, at the request of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, had been the center of the Ottoman Empire until the Dolmabahçe Palace was completed in 1856. The palace, which hosted the Ottoman Family for centuries, is also the place where the holy relics that were left to us from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are preserved. Having emptied subsequent to moving of the state and the family to Dolmabahçe Palace first and then to Yıldız Palace, the Palace was transformed into a museum and opened to visit.
