The complex, which was built as the Banknote Printing House by the Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha in 1727, was built on a large area with 17 decares. Until the Banknote Printing House was carried to the Dolmabahçe Palace in 1877, it continued to be used as banknote printing house. The building, which was used as the banknote printing house again until 1964 with the Republic, was transferred to the History Foundation in 1995. The History Foundation renovated the building that wasn't used for 28 years and remained inactive, and made it suitable for exhibitions and conferences.
