Sirkeci Railway Station, which was completed by the German Architect August Jachmund at the request and permission of Sultan Abdülhamid II in 1890, is the last stop of the 337 km domestic travel of the 2000 km Orient Express. Sirkeci Railway Station used to be very close to the sea in the years it was built and almost the waves swashed its walls, and it was possible to go to seaside from the terraced walkways next to it. Now it became distanced from the sea since its surrounding area expanded and the sea was landfilled. The building is used as museum today where the Marmaray line still works. Grand Hall of the Sirkeci Railway Station, which hosts various exhibitions and activities, will host the Solo Exhibitions of the Yeditepe Biennial.
