Salis Madrasa, which is a part of Süleymaniye Madrasa representing the highest point of the Ottoman education and training life, is the third madrasa with the name of Medrese-i Salis as it can be understood from its name after Medrese-i Evvel and Medrese-i Sani. It is a part of Süleymaniye Complex that is consisted of Medrese-i Rabi, medical madrasa, darüşşifa (hospital) and darül-hadis (hadith school), also including the priorly mentioned madrasas.
Salis madrasa, which is the work of Sinan the Architect, was built on a sloping land. The madrasa, which is in the Mimar Sinan Street today, exhibits an interesting appearance due to the elevation difference of the street. The madrasa, domes of which ebb and flow like a step of a ladder, represent a different example of the Ottoman classical architecture as a creative work built by Sinan the Architect.
We think that the Geometry Concept examining the ages over the figures should be exhibited here with reference to the formal difference of the Salis Madrasa.
