Born in Istanbul in 1962, Ahmet Çoktan already received marbling art gratification from Fuat Başar in 1990. He published his book "Turkish marbling art" in 1992. In 1996, he went abroad and stayed abroad for 10 years. During this time, he held lectures and presentations on traditional Turkish Islamic Arts in about 19 countries such as Japan, Germany, Austria, England, Malta, Italy, Canada, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Algeria, Singapore, the Netherlands, Austria and Taiwan.
In Qatar, in Marbling Art branch in 2009, in the illuminated manuscript branch in 2010, he was put in the Guinness World Records with his brother Ekrem. In 2000 he introduced marbling art in Hannover in 2000 and in 2008 in Spain in 2008.
He completed 33 calligraphers’ 33 Alhamdulillah studies in 8100 hours. His 33 Alhamdulillah project was exhibited in 32 countries continues and he continues his art activities in his workshop in Istanbul.
