Born in Karabük in 1961, Aysel Ergül graduated from Istanbul University, Archaeology and Art History. SHe worked as an archeologist in Istanbul City Walls, Bozdoğan Aqueduct, Topkapı Palace Harem, Eyüp Mihrişah Sultan Mausoleum, Eyüp Almshouse, and Burdur Kuruçay Mound and Samsun İkiztepe excavation sites.
He gave mosaics lessons in the EU Project at the service Foundation for Turkish culture. Mrs. Ergül, a member of the UNESCO women's specialization Committee in Turkey, prepared a workshop on International Women's musicians and their problems in 2012. She took part in a project on the lost crafts of Azerbaijan-Turkey joint venture. She wrote the second volume of the Turkish Arts series, “mosaic”, published by the Turkish Cultural Service Foundation.
