Ayşenur Kadakçı Velioğlu

Born in 1966 in Istanbul, Ayşenur Kadakcı Velioğlu started Mimar Sinan University's illuminated manuscript Department in 1984. She took illuminated manuscript lessons from Dündar Tahsin Aykutalp during her university years. She started with Mahmut Öncü and Hüseyin Gündüz calligraphy as a branch of art. In 1989, she gave illuminated manuscript lessons at Marmara University Faculty of Theology.

In 1992, she completed her master's degree with a thesis titled “analysis of vegetative motives”. Between 1989 and 1995, she gave illuminated manuscript lessons at Kadıköy Imam Hatip High School Alumni Association. Between 1997 and 2009, she continued to teach illuminated manuscript courses in Üsküdar under the foundation of History Islamic Research Foundation and Turkish Youth Foundation.

Velioğlu, who has been giving illuminated manuscript lessons at classical Turkish Arts Foundation since 2008, has participated in many exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad.
