Emel Nurhan Ogan, born in Istanbul, graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts painting Department after completing primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul. During her university education, she took courses from Erol, Hüsamettin Koçan, Erkin Inan, Mustafa Plevneli and Oktay Maral. She has worked as a store and shop decorator for many years within Turkish bottles and glass factories.
Sevim Kayaoğlu, Mustafa Çelebi, and Melek Antel attended the courses organized by the Ministry of culture at Topkapı Palace Nakişhane. She learned miniature by attending Jacob’s workshop classes. She completed her master's degree in graphic Master Arts at the University of Haliç. She opened the Emel Ogan Art House in 2000.
Participating in many exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad, Mrs. Ogan teaches courses at Bağlarbaşı Turkish Islamic Arts specialization school and Emel Ongan Art Gallery.
