Firdevs Bakkal
Firdevs Bakkal, who completed her primary and secondary education in Istanbul, graduated from Sakıp Sabancı Institute Department of Fashion Design in 1996.
She took illuminated manuscript courses from Arda Çakmak for a period of time and started her studies with Fatma Özçay at the classical Turkish Arts Foundation in 2008. The artist continues to work on the Illuminated manuscript with Fatma Özçay.
Between 2012 and 2013, she gave illuminated manuscript courses at Darıca Public Education Center, and was awarded the 14th. Prize at the United Arab Emirates in 2016; She won the first prize in the El-Bürde illuminated manuscript competition and has participated in many exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad since 2012.
