Menaf Nam

Menaf Nam, who was born in the Karan Village affiliated to the Solhan Town of Bingöl in 1980, finished his primary and secondary education in Bingöl, and completed his high school education in Istanbul. The artist, who was doing charcoal drawings in his high school years, decided on the calligraphy and started his works. He completed Rika ‘ exercise from Süleyman Berk. He also had training from Süleyman Berk for the theoretical part of calligraphy. The artist, who started to the Sülüs exercise with Osman Özçay in 2006, continues his works with Osman Özçay today.

His Awards

2010 Achievement Award in the 16. State Turkish Decorative Arts Competition of the Ministry of Culture.

2011 Achievement Award in the International Hilye-i Şerif competition organized by the Istanbul Antique Art.

2012 Honorable Mention award in the Albaraka Türk Calligraphy competition.

2013 Achievement awards in the (EL-BURDE) competition, which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Community Development of the United Arab Emirates.

2014 Second Prize in the Albaraka Türk International 4. Calligraphy Competition.

2015 First Prize in the International 2. Hilye-i Şerif competition organized by the Istanbul Antique Art.

2015 Achievement Award in the 16. State Turkish Decorative Arts Competition of the Ministry of Culture.
