Osman Çiçek

He was born in Erzurum in 1982. Between 1994 -1999, he completed his hafız education during the madrasah education and by taking Arabic and catechism lessons; he became instrumental in educating many Hafız.

He started his art career in 1997 with calligrapher Abdullah GÜN. Later, he studied with calligrapher Ahmet Zeki sülüs-naskh for several years. Later, he studied with calligrapher DAVUD BEKTAS sülüs-naskh and rik’a writings. In 2011, he graduated from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University in the line of traditional arts. In this area,. He performed theoretical and applied studies with Prof. Dr. M. Hüsrev SUBAŞI. He carried out studies on works of window-top writings of Fatih Mosque in 2011 and restoration works of Süleymaniye Mosque in 2012. The artist is currently lecturing on calligraphy in various locations.
