He was born on March 9, 1984 in İnegol, Bursa. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in İnegöl and İznik. Starting from childhood, he started to make ceramics at his family workshop.
In 2002 he won the Department of ‘‘Archaeology’‘ Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. During his years in Istanbul, he developed the technique under glass in ‘‘Anatolian Art club’‘. He saw original works and did research on the subject.
He graduated from Mimar Sinan University in 2007. He participated in the workshops at various parts of the country (Cappadocia, Denizli etc.) He participated in various mixed exhibitions between 2009 and 2010.
In 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic periods he taught courses at Uludağ University vocational High School of tourism department on ‘‘Archaeology’‘, mythology’‘ and ‘‘history of religions’‘.
He began lathe in childhood and learned traditional techniques from masters Nursan Güven and Adil Can Güven. Techniques and methods have passed from generation to generation in his family.

-Sgraffito Technique (scraping)
Every stage of production; soil preparation, clay selection –important for techniques, dough making, turning, firing, pattern of all the studies are carried out by itself. The artist who does not use industrial materials produces original designs by traditional methods.
Rauf Sadi Güven continues his studies with his brother Cem Güven at his own home workshop and family workshop in İznik.
