She was born in 1981 in Shiraz, Iran. She has been living in Istanbul for many years. Her interest in literature and art led her to learn these arts. She started her art life in 2014 and slowly started to become a lifestyle in this process. She took taliq lessons from Tahsin Kurt, calligraphy lessons from Erhan Olcay, pattern design lessons from Hasan Türkmen, quilling (katı') lessons from Ersin Yıldızhan and she is currently taking thuluth lessons from M. Fatih Yıldız.

Bahareh Gençer, who constantly improves her art, has developed herself in the field of quilling-katı' (fine paper carving) and has organised many quilling workshops both in Türkiye and abroad and participated in various group exhibitions. She continues her art life in Istanbul by blending traditional art with a modern perspective.
