Betül Akçamollaoğlu Tufan

The artist was born in Istanbul. After completing her secondary and high school education at Erenköy Girls' High School, she graduated from Mimar Sinan University Textile and Fashion Design Department in 2000. In 2001, she started her illumination education at the Private Mina Art House in Sultanahmet and continued her illumination education at Emel Türkmen workshop between 2005-2008 and received her ijazah (authorisation). She also took photography, paper marbling, miniature and calligraphy classes, and she studied charcoal drawing between 2011-2013.

The artist has participated in various exhibitions in Türkiye and abroad and exhibited her works. In 2018, her work titled "Golden Halos: Discovery" (“Altından Haleler: Keşif”) exhibition organised within the scope of Yeditepe Biennial in 2018. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Department of Traditional Arts.
