Elif Dudu Başer

Elif Dudu Başer, born in 1974 in Istanbul, developed an interest in Islamic arts after completing her high school education. In 2014, her encounter with master artist Gürkan Pehlivan and his students at the spiritual environment of Hüseyin Kutlu Külliyesi marked a significant turning point in her journey toward the art of tezhip (illumination). During this period, she received training in the fields of hat (calligraphy) and tezhip from esteemed instructors such as Şeyma Çınar, Sema Onat, and Mafirat Eraslan.

Throughout her education, Başer gained a deep understanding of the aesthetic and technical aspects of traditional arts. In her tezhip works, she combines the fundamental elements of Islamic arts with contemporary approaches. Her creations reflect the elegance and spiritual depth of Islamic art.
