Born in 1966 in Istanbul, the artist completed his hafiz education at Nuruosmaniye Qur'an Course. He graduated from Istanbul Fatih Imam Hatip High School in 1988 and then from the Department of Islamic Law at Al-Azhar University in Egypt in 1993. In 2007, he received his ijazah for Thuluth-Naskh from Hüseyin Kutlu and for Taliq, Diwani and Jali Diwani from Ali Rıza Özcan. In the same period, he took marbling lessons from Neyzen Sadreddin Özçimi.

In 2019, he completed his master's degree at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Arts, Calligraphy Branch with his thesis titled "Manial Palace's Masjid Calligraphy in Cairo" (Kahire’de Menyel Kasrı Mescid Hatları). He has participated in national and international exhibitions in countries such as Türkiye, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sudan and Germany, and has conducted workshops.

He is currently working as a teacher at the Ministry of National Education and continues his doctoral studies at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Department of Traditional Arts, Calligraphy Branch.
