He was born on 9 March 1984 in Bursa İnegöl. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in İnegöl and İznik. The artist, who started to make ceramics in family workshops since his childhood, enrolled in Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Archaeology in 2002 and graduated in 2007. He participated in workshops in various parts of Türkiye, especially in Cappadocia and Denizli.

He took part in various group exhibitions in 2009-2010. In 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years, he taught "Archaeology," "Mythology" and "History of Religions" at Uludağ University, Vocational School, Tourism Department.

Among the areas where the artist mostly produced are small sculptures (figurines), under-glass painting, Greek ceramics, Kütahya tiles, sgrafitto technique (engraving), Iznik tiles, Miletus ceramics, Byzantine ceramics and Tophane ceramics. He personally carries out every stage of the production processes such as preparing the soil, selecting the clay, making the dough, turning, firing and patterning.

Rauf Sadi Güven continues his works in his workshop in Iznik.
