She was born in 1961 in Istanbul. After graduating from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration, she completed her master's degree at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, Illumination Art Major. She received quilling (katı') training from instructors Dürdane Ünver and Müjgân Başköylü at the Traditional Turkish Decorative Arts Training Centre of the TBMM (The Grand National Assembly of Türkiye) National Palaces Department.

She gave quilling courses in institutions such as Classical Turkish Arts Foundation, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Faculty of Fine Arts, TDV Kagem Art Workshops and Human and Irfan Foundation. She took part in the activities of the Ministry of Culture in the field of Traditional Arts and as a jury member in various institutions. The artist participated in solo and group exhibitions in Türkiye and abroad and took part in many projects and workshops.

She is currently teaching the art of quilling at the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation and is a consultant teacher. She also continues her workshops.
