Born in 1987 in Istanbul, Şeyma Yallıhep graduated from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, Illumination Branch in 2021. She continues her master's degree at the same university.
In 2014, she started illumination studies with Şehnaz Biçer at the Applied Turkish Islamic Arts Library and continued her studies with Mustafa Nasûhi Çelebi. In 2017, she participated in the "Forty Hadiths" (Kırk Hadis) exhibition organised by the Directorate of Religious Affairs.
The artist was awarded an honourable mention in illumination branch in the "Ten States of Art II" (Sanatın On Hâli II) competition organised by Balıkesir City Council. She continues to produce by combining her passion for traditional arts with her academic and artistic studies.
