Sevgi İrteş

Born in 1981 in Istanbul, Sevgi İrteş completed her high school education at Kabataş Erkek Lisesi and graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Environmental Engineering in 2004. In 2000, in addition to her university education, she received illumination training from M. Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz for two years at the Traditional Turkish Decorative Arts Course opened by the Ministry of Culture at Topkapı Palace.

Between 2000-2008, she worked on illumination at Sema Miniature Workshop (Nakkaşhane), founded by M. Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz. Since 2008, she has been working at Nakkaş Tezyini Arts Centre, which operates in the field of architectural and book decoration arts in Üsküdar Valide-i Atik Complex Sufi Lodge (Tekke) Building.
